Mobile Hardware Solutions Business Development Manager

Based from Wireless Logic’s European Headquarters in Berkshire, but covering the whole of the UK, this is an exciting opportunity for a highly-skilled and knowledgeable mobile hardware Business Development Manager.

The role
This role will join Wireless Logic at a dynamic time in the M2M / IoT market as the organisation drives ambitious growth in end-to-end mobile hardware turn-key and bespoke technical solutions. The role requires a strong customer-focused executive to deliver by direct engagement, technical pre-sales and supporting the existing Sales teams directly with prospects, customers and partners.

The candidate
You must be ambitious with a thirst for rapidly changing knowledge as the market evolves. The ability to negotiate at all levels is key, as are the skillsets to provide strategic technical advice as an industry expert on wireless mobility.

We are looking for someone who is diligent, driven and determined to succeed. The ability to adapt within a fast-paced and evolving sector is essential along with a practical, ‘roll your sleeves up’ attitude to get the job successfully implemented.

Key duties & responsibilities

  • Responsible for all mobile hardware solution sales across the group (UK-wide only) – working with prospects, existing customers and partner organisations managing all technical scoping of pre-sales activities through to successful deployment
  • Be the ‘go-to’ subject matter expert on all hardware solution offerings
  • Responsible for preparation and delivery of technical product presentations
  • Responsible for technical custom product creation and demonstrations
  • Manage customer project delivery
  • Work with new and existing accounts on setting deployment and set up methodologies
  • Work directly with the Product Management team as a liaison to accounts around technical product requirements
  • Interact with internal engineering teams to scope out and provide solutions to complex technical issues for prioritised account opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years successful Hardware Sales Solutions experience, ideally in a direct customer-facing pre-sales/sales engineer capacity or otherwise in a comparable setting
  • Candidate should be a self-starter and have exceptional ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
  • Proven knowledge of and experience in solution sales for any M2M vertical market preferable
  • Solid understanding of the whole M2M/IoT eco-system and of related business models in general
  • Solid technical knowledge of mobile and IT networks
  • Confident negotiator at senior level
  • Ability to work in close collaboration with Wireless Logic’s key departments – sales, technical and product development
  • Excellent communication and client management skills
  • A positive and determined approach to developing new business
  • Outstanding organisational skills
  • A sound understanding of Salesforce (CRM) would be a distinct advantage

Lead Generation Representative

As a new role, the Lead Generation Representative will be responsible for developing important sales opportunities, working alongside the sales team and sales leadership to drive the growth of Wireless Logic services through new business.  The focus will be on maximising lead qualification and conversation rates whilst excelling at all set  key performance metrics.  The successful candidate must be able to clearly understand and articulate the Wireless Logic value proposition based around Managed Services to the M2M and IoT sectors.  The successful candidate must have exceptional business acumen and the ability to communicate with confidence at senior/decision-making levels.

Key responsibilities

  • Target new and existing customers to secure qualified sales appointments
  • Participate as a team member in strategic and tactical planning for the organisation
  • Implement and maintain sales best practices
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of rules of engagement as well as policies, procedures and programmes
  • Drive exhaustive lead penetration, high activity standards and pipeline management
  • Suggest improvements to optimise lead qualification process
  • Work closely with the existing internal and external sales teams
  • Perform research and intelligence gathering on prospects
  • Articulate the Wireless Logic message tailored to a range of audiences
  • Report weekly performance and identify actions to achieve set goals

Essential Skills & Experience

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience, (e.g., internal sales, cold calling) working closely with a sales team. SaaS based experience is a plus
  • High energy, results-oriented, driven professional
  • Mentoring, training and feedback skills will be provided
  • Excellent business judgment
  • Ability to prioritise effectively and work independently
  • Ability to work in teams to develop strategies and action plans, and to share results
  • Knowledge of technical marketplace and IT organisational structures would be an advantage
  • Comfortable interacting at a senior level with potential clients through phone and email
  • Knowledge of sales and sales processes and familiarity with a CRM - Salesforce preferable
